Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne Pellerin, age 75, time pending on Friday, July 13, 2012, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, La., followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La.

Yvonne, who was a native of Evangeline Parish and a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Senior Village Nursing Home.

Yvonne was a retired deputy with the St. Landry Parish Sheriffs Department and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She loved her children and grandchildren and the time that they shared together. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Emmit Grant Fontenot and wife, Stephanie, of Breaux Bridge, La. her daughters, Deionne Lalonde and husband, Charles, of Opelousas, La. and Shala Ann Fontenot of Carencro, La. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Beau Marks, Colby Marks, Jacob Marks, Meghan Hundley, Abbey Fontenot, Bailey Fontenot, Sydney Fontenot and 9 greatgrandchildren, Lexie Marks, Emily Marks, Lanie Marks, Zell Woody, Rhys Marks, Ella Marks, Adysson Marks, Alyssa Hundley, Camryn Hundley and her special caretaker, Glenda Guilbeau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmit Fontenot her parents, Remi and Emily Guillory her brother, Wesley Guillory her sisters, Wilma Guillory and Lou Ray Guillory Ardoin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Thursday, July 12, 2012, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Friday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Pallbearers will be Beau Marks, Colby Marks, Jacob Marks, Brian Hundley, Bailey Fontenot and Lawrence Ardoin.
