Winnie Bordelon

Funeral services for Winnie Dene Bordelon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, La. The Reverend Austin Leger will conduct the service.

Ms. Bordelon, age 75, a resident of Washington, La., died on Monday, October 10, 2011 at Lake Charles Memorial.
Winnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her brother, Roland Bordelon and wife Kay of New York her sisters, Mary Alice Savoy of Leonville, La. Anna Guidroz of Opelousas, La. and Brenda Burdick and husband Doug of Anchorage, Alaska. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Emily Pitre Bordelon.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to offset funeral expenses.
