Wilma Miller

Opelousas Funeral services will be held for Wilma Huckaby Miller at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2014, in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas, La. Reverend Perry Hubbs will conduct the service. Burial will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Miller, age 84, a resident of McComb, Mississippi, formerly of Opelousas, La., died on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center.

Wilma was a member of the Joy Club at the First Baptist Church in Opelousas. Wilma will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her sons, David Morris Miller and wife, Robin, of Summit, MS Philip Douglas Miller of Opelousas, La. her daughters, Caroly Sue Carroll of Dawsonville, GA and her sister, Dorothy Huckaby Holloway, of Opelousas, La. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Jennifer Miller Geer and husband, Bill, of League City, TX Kristy Miller Bond and fianc, Frank Plaia, of Summit, MS Brian Carroll and wife, Martha, of Roswell, GA Jonathan Carroll and wife, Jessica, of Dawsonville, GA Michael Alexander and wife, Ashlee, of Lakewood, WA Misty Miller McCarty and husband, Mike, of Denham Springs, La. Jessie Miller Alain and husband, Jean, of Denham Springs, La. and ten greatgrandchildren, Maddison and Emily Geer Cole and Beau Bond Susanna and Ian Carroll Madison and McKenzie McCarty and Abigail and Kayleigh Alain.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Morris Monroe Miller her parents, G.L. and Lula Huckaby her brothers, Leon Huckaby and Vernon Huckaby her soninlaw, David Carroll and her greatgranddaughter, Kaleigh Lynn Bond.

Visitation will be held at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, April 18, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.
