Washington A Mass of Christian Burial for Willie Wilson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Washington, LA. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, LA with Reverend Albert Nunez as the Celebrant.

Mr. Wilson, age 82, a resident of Washington, LA died on Friday, January 18, 2013, at Opelousas General Health System.

Willie owned and operated Willies Campground in Washington, LA for 35 years and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Opelousas, LA. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Geraldine Dean Wilson, of Washington, LA his sons, Ronald Wilson and wife, Elaine, of Opelousas, LA Gary Wilson and wife, Denise, of Washington, LA Michael Wilson and wife, Cathy, of Washington, LA his daughters, Connie Cain and husband, Charles, of Leonville, LA Elaine Pierrottie and husband, Tony, of Leonville, LA his brothers, Frank Wilson of Mississippi and Dudley Wilson of Opelousas, LA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Veronica Stelly Wilson his brothers, Edwin Wilson, Francis Wilson, Euclide Wilson his sister, Lillian Guidroz and his granddaughter, Lainey Nicole.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.
