Prairie Ronde A Mass of Christian Burial for Willie Mae Lafleur, age 90, will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 11:00 a. m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Prairie Ronde, La., followed by interment in the church cemetery. Reverend Ted Broussard will be the celebrant of the Mass.
Willie Mae, a resident of Prairie Ronde, La., passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 in Lawtell, La. at her sons residence.
She was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by her sons, Cade Lafleur and Dwane Lafleur both of Lawtell, La. her sisters, Rosalie B. Joubert Elaine B. Joubert and Helen B. Venable. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 11 greatgrandchildren and 3 greatgreat grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Winton Lafleur her parents, Amos and Francis Pitre Boudreaux her brothers, Norwood Boudreaux, Wilfred Boudreaux, A.J. Boudreaux and her sister, Mildred Boudreaux.
Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service. Father Mark Ledoux will lead the rosary at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
