Wilfred Schexneider

Funeral services will be held at St. Leo The Great Catholic Church at 3 PM Monday, July 30, 2007 for Mr. Wilfred Schexneider, age 78. Mr. Shorty died at 11:25 AM Saturday at Opelousas General Health System. Burial will be in the Church Mausoleum.

Rev. Fr. Ken Domingue will officiate the service.

Mr. Shorty was retired from Chevron and Savoies Sausage.

Survivors include his wife, Parral Jean Doucet Schexneider, Sons: Joseph C. Schexneider and his wife Tina of Leonville, La., Russell Schexneider and his wife Judy of Port Barre, La., Step Sons: Jammie L. Breaux of Opelousas, La. and Rickey J. Breaux and his wife Gwen of Carencro, La. Five daughters: Melinda Allemond and her husband Onezime of Port Barre, La., Helen Theriot and her husband Bobby of Prairie Ronde, La., Betty Provost of Opelousas, La., Linda Robin and her husband Dale of Port Barre, La. Margaret Beard and her husband Micheal of Washington, La., and a Stepdaughter Maxine M. Breaux of Opelousas, La. One sister Lenora Noel of Port Barre, La. Also, Mr. Shorty is survived by his sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

His first wife, Lovenia Hebert Schexneider, his parents, Clouble and Helena Schexneider, one sister Lovenia Stelly, three brothers Isaac, Jules, and Joseph Schexneider all precede Mr. Shorty in death.

Pallbearers are Joseph and Russell Schexneider, Joshua Allemond, Matthew Provost, John Jules Robin and Jammie L. Breaux. Honorary Pallbearers are Seth and Logan Schexneider.

Visitation will be from 2 PM Sunday, July 29, 2007 until time of service on Monday. A Rosary will be recited at 7 PM Sunday.
