Wilbert Marks

A Mass of Christian Burial for Wilbert T Marks Marks will be held on Tuesday April 1, 2014 at 2:00pm in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas. The Interment will take place at the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum. Reverend James Brady will celebrate the Mass.

Mr. Marks, age 70, a resident of Opelousas, died on Friday March 28, 2014 at his residence. He was in the Louisiana National Guard and was retired with 36 years of service from Charlie Dore Auto Salvage.

He is survived by his wife, Iolia Gay Marks of Opelousas, son, Lucas Marks of Opelousas, daughters, Melissa M. Daniel and husband Paul of Welsh, Bridget M. Thibodeaux of Opelousas, brother, Leroy Marks of Opelousas, sister, Pearl M. Thibodeaux and five grandchildren, Shellie D. Compton, Beau Daniel, Alexis Thibodeaux, Ashley Thibodeaux and Ally Marks.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lucius Marks and Selina Edmund Marks.

The family has requested visitation be held on Monday March 31, 2014 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00am. A rosary will be prayed on Monday at 7:00pm.
