Wesley Johnson

Krotz SpringsService for Wesley Dubby Johnson, age 63, will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Mr. Johnson, a resident of Krotz Springs, died on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at 5:30 a.m. at his residence.

Mr. Johnson was a loving husband, daddy, poppa, brother, uncle and friend.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Carol Kemp Johnson, of Krotz Springs. He is also survived by his sons, Dubby Johnson and wife, Shanna, of Baton Rouge; Doug Johnson and wife, Courtney, of Krotz Springs; his daughters, Missy Franklin and husband, Tory, of Krotz Springs; Bridget Ray and husband, Doug, of Krotz Springs; his daughter-in-law, Leanne Boudreaux of Krotz Springs; his brother, Denver Johnson and wife, Kathy, of Breaux Bridge; his brother-in-law, Jimmy Kemp of Krotz Springs; his sisters, Carlene Leger and husband, Norman, of Fordoche; Charity Dupuis and husband, A.J., of Lafayette; three sisters-in-law, Debra Martin of Krotz Springs, Cynthia Mires of Krotz Springs and Sue Kemp of Krotz Springs. He is survived by 13 grandchildren, Tiffany Viola, Michael Viola, Logan Franklin, Jim Kemp, Madison Franklin, Payton Franklin, Hunter Ray, Connor Johnson, Sydni Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Sadi Johnson, Alyssa Alleman, Austin Alleman and 1 great-grandchild, T.J. Little Poppa.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley Johnson and Addlene Kimble Johnson; his infant son, Kenneth Johnson; his sister, Lynn Johnson; his grandchildren, twin girls - Hannah and Heather Ray; his brother-in-law Mack Kemp, II and his nephews, Mack Kemp, III and Jody Dupuis.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Friday, March 6, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. all night until time of service on Saturday.
