Ward Land

Ward Aaron Land, 78, passed to eternal life on September 9, 2017. Left to mourn is his wife, Judy T. Land; his brother, Arthur David Land; his nieces and nephews, Davey Land and wife, Diane; Laurie Land O'Quinn, Michael Ernst, Eric Ernst, Paul Ernst, Kristina E. Kohlweiler, Sone Land; his Aunts Faune Futral, Trudy Perry, Doris Futral; his cousins, Billy Futral, Judy Burleigh Crews and Keigh Ballard.

Ward was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Perry Land and Alice Futral Land; his nieces, Kacki Land Miller, Paula Land Guidry and his nephew, Logan Land.

Mr. Land was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served five years in the Submarine Service. He was a graduate of USL in Lafayette and was employed for many years in the oil and gas industry as a supervisor. During his employment he worked in Louisiana, Texas, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Tunisia, and Venezuela.

Mr. Land enjoyed his retirement years caring for his place in St. Landry Parish. He enjoyed fishing trips with his brother, David, and was an excellent cook. He was loved by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be scheduled in the future to celebrate Mr. Land's life.
