Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Jean Penny will be held on Friday, April 20th, 2007 at 1:00PM at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville. The Interment will be at the Baptist Cemetery in Melville. Brother Buddy Webb will conduct the services.

Mrs. Penny, age 70, died at her residence in Palmetto, Tuesday, April 17, 2007. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister who went home to the Lord.

She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Ann Savant and her fianc Sydney Clum of Port Barre, a son; Darrell Savant and his wife Barbie of Paris, TN, step-sons; Cheese Savant Peanut Savant, Wango Savant, Baba Savant, and Bonnie Keet Savant all of Melville, a sister; Velma Barker of Krotz Springs and brothers; Christopher Brown and Joseph Brown, a granddaughter; Alisha Boudreaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stewart Penny and her sister Jennette Buckner.

The family has requested that visitation be observed at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville on Thursday from 4:00PM until 8:00PM and will continue on Friday, from 10:00AM until time of service.
