Wanda Martin Butler

Opelousas – Graveside services for Wanda Belle Martin Butler will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Bellevue Memorial Park.  Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.  A Rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m. by Deacon Dwayne Joubert.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Wanda Belle Martin Butler, age 91, on Friday, July 22, 2022, at her cousin’s residence surrounded by her loving family.

Wanda worked as a supervisor for Bell South Telephone Company with over 40 years of service.  She was a loving and caring person.  She was an animal lover and had a special love for cats.  Wanda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her cousins, Sandra Darbonne, Janice D. Daigle (Clayton), Myrtle D. Deranger and Alden Doucet (Marie).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyde H. Martin, and Mary Belle Doucet Martin; her grandparents, Regile Doucet, Sr. and Elmira Roberie Doucet and her half-sister, Joyce Ray.
