Funeral services for Wanda Ryder Dicapo will be held Wednesday November 14, 2007 at 10:00am in the First Baptist Church in Melville, La. The internment will be in the Baptist Cemetery in Melville, La. Bro. Dennis Allen will conduct the services. Pallbearers will be Sidney Ryder, Michael Bryant, Jason St. Martin, Jonathan Bradford, Joseph Ryder and Bertha Mathis. Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Ellis and Del Carter.
Mrs. Dicapo, age 60, a native of Melville, La. and a resident of Zachary, La., died Sunday November 11, 2007 at 4:59am in Lane Regional Medical Center in Zachary, La. Wanda is loved above all by her devoted husband of 43 years. Family was the most important thing in the world to her. She was a Professional Mom, who doted on her daughters and grandchildren, but who was also Mamma Wanda to everyone she met. She lived to make her grand babies smile and she loved the LSU Tigers.
Survivors include her husband; Nick James Dicapo, 3 daughters; Gwendolyn Dicapo Bradford and her husband Jonathan, Rhonda Dicapo St. Martin and her husband James and Nikki Lynn Dicapo, 2 sisters; Brinda Ellis and her husband Paul and Bertha Mathis, 2 brothers; Sidney Ryder and his wife Bonnie and Ross Ryder and his wife Ramona, 5 grandchildren; Morgan Mercante, Nicholas Bradford, Maggie Bradford, Calliope Bradford and Sophia Pudding St. Martin
She was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph Edlee Ryder and Gloria Geeary Ryder.
Visitation will be held Tuesday November 13, 2007 at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville, La. starting at 5:00pm and will remain open all night.
