Wain Stermer, Sr.

Krotz Springs Funeral services for Wain Stermer, Sr., age 78, will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs, followed by interment in the church cemetery. Pastor Chad Bolfa will conduct the services.

Mr. Stermer, a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2010 at his residence. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae Stermer of Krotz Springs, La. his sons, Wain Stermer, Jr. and wife, Barbara, of Denham Springs, La. Johnny Johnson and wife, Joyce, of Krotz Springs, La. and David Johnson and wife, Laura, of Bossier City, La. his daughters, Pamela Martin and husband, Lynn, of French Settlement, La. Kathy Ellis and husband, Dale, of Krotz Springs, La. Debra Johnson of Krotz Springs Sheila Wood of Port Vincent, La. Susan Guitreau and husband, Ross, of Port Vincent, La., JoLynn Stermer his sister, Lizabeth Decapo of Melville, La. He is also survived by 17grandchildren, 16 greatgrandchildren, and his dear old dog fluffy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Corine Barker Stermer two grandchildren, John Michael Young and Julie Michele Johnson and his siblings, Louis Stermer, Benjamin Stermer, Alvin Stermer, Raymond Stermer, Johnelle Stermer, Joyce Babineaux, Lorrene Ellis and Elvina Orgeron.

Pallbearers will be Shane Stermer, Chris Young, Chris Barker, James Ellis, Dale Ellis, and Kade Guitreau.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs on Sunday, October 24, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until time of service.
