Vivian Faul

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Vivian Faul at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017, in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will be held at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the funeral service.

Mrs. Faul, age 86, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

Vivian was employed with Stage Department Store for over 25 years. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowerbeds. She loved spending time with her family and most of all enjoyed being a grandmother. Vivian will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Cecil Faul and wife, Danette, of Port Barre; Michael Faul of Prairie Ronde; David Faul and wife, Tina, of Opelousas; her daughters, Sandra Faul of Opelousas; Paula Goldner and husband, Ed, of Sunset and her sisters, Olivia P. Labbe of Opelousas and Delores P. Meche of Carencro. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LeRay Faul; parents, Leslie and Emerthilde Doucet Prudhomme; her brothers, Leonard (L.G.) George, Wilfred (Tatsie) Prudhomme, Warren Prudhomme, Raphael Prudhomme; her sister, Dora Mae P. Stanford and her granddaughter, Shannah Gary.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be prayed on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Friday, August 18, 2017, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brandon Faul, Tyler Faul, Andy Faul, Brody Faul, Chris Quirk and Jeremy Quirk.

The family would like to thank her granddaughter, Misty Rae, for her constant care and compassion she gave her grandmother during her brief illness. Also, the family would like to extend a special thanks to all the nurses from Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.
