Virginia Talley Warden

Krotz Springs – Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 for Virginia Talley Warden at First Baptist Church in Krotz Springs. Reverend Roger Johnson will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church Cemetery.
Virginia Talley Warden, age 87 and a resident of Krotz Springs, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Opelousas General Health Systems.
Virginia was known for her “green thumb”. She loved spending time gardening and working in her yard. Virginia was a devout Christian; she loved reading the Bible. She enjoyed the time spent with her family, but especially her great-grandchildren. Virginia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her daughter, Jeannie Gerace and her husband, Dwain of Dallas, TX; step-sons, Rocky Warden and Kippie Warden; brother, Gill Talley and his wife, Mary Alice of Lafayette; sisters, Madge Henagan of Denham Springs and Fammie Henagan of Bayou Current; grandchildren, Collin Courville, Jessica Duplechain and her husband DJ, Misti Hyatt, Trent Hyatt and his wife, Sherise, Kara Sparks and her husband, Jonathan, Chad Gerace and his wife, Karen, Nicholas Courville, Ryan Warden and Holly Warden; and great-grandchlidren, Ali Hooks, Zach Disotel, Maria, Clayton Soileau, Braxton Soileau, Layla Duplechain and Bentley Duplechain.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, C.W. Courville and L.C. Warden; parents, Robert and Freda Talley; son, Brett Courville; daughter, Debbie Hyatt; sister, Pauline Talley; and brothers, Bobby Talley and Lionel Talley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00- p.m. at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs. It will continue on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Pallbearers will be Dale Hyatt, Trent Hyatt, Toby Hooks, Shane Fletcher, Braxton Soileau and Clayton Soileau.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Collin Courville and DJ Duplechain.
