Virginia Cox

Funeral Services for Virginia Kimble Cox, age 95, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on, Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in the Grace Community Lighthouse Church in Krotz Springs, LA, followed by interment in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs cemetery. The Reverend Rocky Warden will conduct the services.

Virginia Kimble Cox, who was a native of Bayou Rouge and a resident of Krotz Springs, died on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mrs. Cox family characterizes her as someone who never met a stranger and one who truly adored flower gardening and creating beautiful clothing through her sewing skills. Her true love was her family and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Joseph B. Cox of Krotz Springs sons, Wilson Kimble and wife Sally of Seville, CA, Freddie Rodriguez and wife Avelina of El Paso, TX, and Willie Kimble and wife Nancy of Krotz Springs a sister, Alice LaCombe of Bunkie 17 grandchildren 42 great grandchildren, and 27 greatgreat grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Rosalie Porche Kimble infant son, Willie Kimble brothers, Willie and Wilson Kimble sisters, Odelia Kimble, Ada Coulon and Adeline Johnson great granddaughter, Carmen Kimble, greatgreat grandson, Parker Aube and great grandson, Peter Garcia.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Kimble, Matthew Kimble, Mark Kimble, Aaron Kimble, Ryan Warden and Benjamin Wiltz.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Krotz Springs, beginning on Monday, July 4, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until service.
