Virginia Bienvenu

Funeral services for Virginia L. Bienvenu will be held on Sunday December 28, 2008 at 1:00pm in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. The interment will take place at the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum. Monsignor Robert Romero will conduct the services. She will be carried to her rest by her nephews; George Bo Bienvenu, Dale Bienvenu, Steven Bienvenu, Keith Bienvenu and Taylor Cain.

Miss. Bienvenu age 92, a resident of Opelousas died Friday December 26, 2008 at Tri Community Nursing Home in Palmetto.

Gin was a woman of deep faith and was known for her quick wit, beautiful blue eyes, sweet smile and her devotion to her family. She was also a retired clerk with the St. Landry Clerk of Court.

Gin will be deeply missed by her brother; Robert Bienvenu and his wife Kathy of Manteo, North Carolina, her many nieces and nephews and her lifetime family friend; Goldie Dechicchis.

Preceded in death by her parents; George Joseph Bienvenu and Patrick Lee Thompson Bienvenu, sisters; Dorothy B. Ramsey and Patrick B. Perkins and a brother; George J. Bienvenu.

Visitation will be held on Sunday December 28, 2008 from 11:00am until time of services.
