It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Violet Kay Saucier, age 67, on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
Violet began her career as a registered nurse at Opelousas General Hospital and continued caring for people there for 42 years. She enjoyed tending to her many flowers, reading and sitting peacefully by the river. More than anything though, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert Saucier; son, Michael Saucier and his wife, Kylie; daughter, Laurie Lormand and her husband, Aaron; sister, Sherry Lynn Fisher; grandchildren, Valerie Saucier, Olivia Lormand, Garrett Lormand and Kale Lormand; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adna and Vivian Soileau; sisters, Rose Latiolais and Delores Ann Soileau; brothers-in-law, Jack Fisher and J.A. Latiolais.
