Viola Stelly

A Mass of Christian Burial for Viola Lalonde Stelly will be held on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Landry Catholic Church. The interment will take place at Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Greg Chauvin will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Stelly, age 85, a resident of Breaux Bridge, formerly of Opelousas, died Saturday February 16, 2013 at her residence. She was a parishioner at St. Landry Catholic Church and a member of the St. Landry Ladies Alter Society and also a volunteer at Opelousas General Health System.

She is survived by her son Bryan Schetele Stelly and wife Lydia of Breaux Bridge, daughters Nathalia Stelly Cutrera and husband Michael of Dripping Springs, Texas, Madeline Stelly Lagrange of Breaux Bridge, Jessica Stelly Guillory of Breaux Bridge, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rodney Stelly, parents Alcee and Madeline Laviolette Lalonde, 2 sisters Laura Lalonde, Rose Edmond and 1 brother Francis Lalonde.

The family has requested visitation be held on Monday February 18, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
