Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent Bobby Robert Savoy, age 72, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2011, in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum in Opelousas. The Reverend Monsignor Keith DeRouen will be the celebrant of the Mass.
Bobby, who was a native and resident of Opelousas, La., died on Friday, May 27, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System.
Bobby was a 1956 graduate of AIC and attended SLI for 3 years. He then attended Moler Barber College in New Orleans. Bobby spent most of his life as a hair stylist and continued to develop and expand his company Roffler of Louisiana. As an avid outdoorsman, he spent most of his free time hunting and fishing with his family and friends at his camp in Big Lake. He was married to his wife, Sandy, for 49 years. Together they parented 6 children, 11 grandchildren and 2 stepgrandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Marie Fontenot Savoy, of Opelousas, La. his sons, Robert Savoy and wife, Neysa, of Arnaudville, La. James Jimmy Vincent Savoy of Opelousas, La. Anthony Tony Jude Savoy and wife, Donna, of Arnaudville, La. his daughters, Leslie Ann Savoy and companion, Chris Doucet, of Opelousas, La. Marie Danielle Savoy Broussard and husband, Harold, of Jeanerette, La. Adrienne Nicole Savoy Campbell and husband, Jake, of Opelousas, La. and his sister, Ann Savoy of Santee, California. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Edna Savoy.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Sunday, May 29, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Campbell, Marie S. Broussard, Leslie Savoy and the Readers will be Ann Savoy and Lauren Savoy.
