Melville - Funeral services will be held for Verda Mary Moreau Lee, age 64, at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville, LA with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Allen Johnson will conduct funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Cordell Lee, Charles Lee, Jr., Austin Lee, Charles Michael Lee, Brandon Lee and Gerald Williams.

Mrs. Lee, a resident of Melville, LA, died on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Carpenter House in Lafayette, LA.

Verda was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother to all, especially her nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her friends, family and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Charles C. Lee, Sr., of Melville, LA; her sons, Charles C. Lee, Jr. and wife, Amanda, of Washington, LA; Brandon Lee and wife, Tonya, of Zachary, LA; her daughter, Margaret Lee Barker of Melville, LA; her brother, Herbert Moreau and wife, Frances, of Prairieville, LA and her step-sister, Suzy Worley of Livonia, LA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Charles Michael, Austin, Brandon Cordell, Cierra and Brandy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Margaret Moreau; her brothers, Charles Moreau, Wayne Moreau, Jesse Moreau and her sisters, Margaret Rodriguez, Elda Jones and Lena Naquin.
