Krotz Springs A celebration of life will be held for Vera Tootsie Jarreau at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2014, in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs. Brother Chad Bolfa will conduct the services. Burial will be held at the church cemetery at a later time.
Mrs. Tootsie Jarreau, age 78, a resident of Krotz Springs, died on Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at her residence in Krotz Springs, LA surrounded by her loving family.
Vera was an LPN for over 30 years working for Dr. Williams. Many in Krotz Springs considered Mrs. Tootsie the town nurse. She was a part of the first graduating class of T.H. Harris School for LPN. She enjoyed caring for others and she will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Jeff Nall and wife April of Krotz Springs, LA Ted Teddy Nall of Lake Charles, LA sister, Juanita Reed of Krotz Springs, LA and 20 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordy and Kathryn Williamson her husband, Roland Jarreau her daughter, Nona Ponthieux her stepdaughters, Eileen Plaisance and Madeline Evans and her grandchildren, James Plaisance and Miranda Evans.
Visitation will be held in the First Baptist Church of Krotz Springs on Saturday, November 29, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Nall, Teddy Nall, Tim Reed, Gordy Reed, Chad Nall, and Mikey Ponthieux.
