Vera Bass

Melville Funeral services for Vera Maye Bass, age 78, will be held on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Melville. Rev. Buddy Webb will conduct the services. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery.

Mrs. Bass a native of Longview, Texas and resident of Melville died on March 9, 2010 in the J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville.

She is survived by her sons, Joe Bass and wife, Rebecca, of Baton Rouge David Bass and wife, Vicki, of Wiggins, MS one daughter, Stacey B. Armond of Krotz Springs sisterinlaw, June Bennett nieces, Kathleen Wisley, Sharon Chadwell, Pam Chandler, Kellie Davis and Patricia Wilier nephews, John Gaylond Bass, Doug Haliburton grandchildren, Madalyn A. Bass, Jennifer Nicole Bass, Jeanne Elizabeth Bass, Jenna Marie Bass, Hunter Armond, Dakota Redmond Armond, Katie Barnes greatgrandchildren, Isabella Pearl Bass and Analyce Bass.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Eva Pearl Barton her husband, Bobby Joe Bass, her son, Charles Lynn Bass and her sister, Frances Cotton.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until service time.
