Timothy "Timmy" Briley

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Timothy "Timmy" Edward Briley at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 7, 2019, in the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas.  The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will conduct the services. Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 9:30 AM until time of services at 1:00 PM in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas.

Mr. Briley, age 46, a resident of Opelousas, LA, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center.

Timmy was employed by Johnson Screens in Lafayette for ten years and then transferred to Wytheville, VA where he worked for another sixteen years.  He loved spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing.  He was a member of a bow-hunting club and participated in archery competitions.  Timmy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Dena Briley; his twin brother, Tommy Briley (Shelley); his sister, Kelly Soileau (Timmy); his nieces, Allyson Beard (Hayden), Kristin Lyons (Kasey); his nephews, Caleb Soileau, Noah Soileau, Logan Sonnier, Cameron Sonnier; his great-nephews, Benjamin Lyons and Nathaniel Lyons and a host of aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Aaron Briley; his paternal grandparents, Ann and George Briley; his maternal grandparents, Berchman and Mildred Thibodeaux and his uncles, Davis Thibodeaux and Jason Simon.
