Thuoc Van Do

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Thuoc Van Do at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas.  Father Toan will celebrate the Mass, Father Viet Hung will give the Sermon, Father Sai will give the Last Rites and Father Vuong will give the Rite of Committal at the cemetery.  Burial will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mr. Thuoc Van Do, age 92, on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Do was a mason by trade and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by sons, Canh, Hung, Nhan, Doan, Cuong, Hai, Son, Tu, Tai and his daughters, Hoi, Hue, Huong and Marie.  He is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nhiem Pham Do, who passed away in 1979.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, July 4, 2021, in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Opelousas from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue Monday, July 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 11:00 a.m. until service time.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Huy, Si, Vinh, Nicholas, Alex and Isaac.
