Theresa Quebedeaux Wyble

Opelousas - Theresa Quebedeaux Wyble, passed away on October 30, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Opelousas, Louisiana on March 24, 1947. Theresa was known for her fun-loving personality, always bringing joy to those around her.

Theresa had a fulfilling career as a waitress, where she served her customers with a warm smile and impeccable hospitality. Her dedication to her work and her love for people made her an exceptional waitress who touched the lives of many.

Outside of her career, Theresa found immense joy in spending time with her family and doting on her numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured every moment she had with them and created beautiful memories that will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In her free time, Theresa enjoyed going to casinos.  Additionally, she found peace in sitting outside and admiring the beauty of nature while sipping on a refreshing margarita. These simple pleasures brought Theresa a sense of calm and contentment.

Theresa is survived by her sons, Bruce Burleigh and his fiancé, Jennifer, and Blane Richard and his companion, Leslie "Dee Dee,"; her daughter, Linda Burleigh Fontenot and husband, Keith, her step-son, Ricky Wyble and her sister, Mary Ann Stelly. She also leaves behind her seven grandchildren, Dana Daigle (Chris), Megan Castille (Cody), Kara Castille (Shane), Aaron Wyble (fiancé, Kelsi), Adam Wyble (Erika), Ashley Scruggins (Tim) and Abbey Wyble and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus Quebedeaux and Alida Stelly Quebedeaux; her husband, Aaron Leon Wyble and her sister, Bernice Quebedeaux.

To honor Theresa's life, visitation services will be held at the Skip Montet Chapel at LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas located at 2845 S. Union Street in Opelousas, Louisiana on October 31, 2023. The visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until 1:30 PM.  A Rosary service will be prayed in the funeral home from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow, starting at 2:00 PM.  Theresa will be laid to rest at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery located at 4833 LA-182 in Opelousas, Louisiana. A burial service will be held there from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Burleigh, Blane Richard, Keith Fontenot, Chris Daigle, Mason Daigle and Aaron Wyble.

As we remember Theresa Quebedeaux Wyble, let us celebrate her vibrant spirit and the impact she made on each and every person she encountered. She will be dearly missed but forever cherished in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.
