Funeral services for Theresa Darbonne Faul will be held on Monday June 9, 2014 at 3:00pm at the LafondArdoin Funeral Home in Opelousas, La. The interment will take place at the Belleau Cemetery in Swords, La. Monsignor Louis Melancon will conduct the services.

Mrs. Faul, age 81, a resident of Lawtell, died on Friday June 6, 2014 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her husband James O. Faul of Lawtell, son Gregory J. Faul of Lawtell, daughter Deborah Bundick and husband Robert Lee of Swords, special cousin Beatrice D. Faul of Lawtell, 4 grandchildren Christopher M. Fontenot of Maurice, Bryan L. Fontenot and wife Cristina of Baton Rouge, Emily T. Fontenot of Lawtell, Mia M. Fontenot of Houston and a host of nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents Felician and Meline Prudhomme Darbonne, brothers Edville Jim, Mitchel, Shelton, and Euel Darbonne, sisters Helen Darbonne and infant Mattie.

The family has requested visitation be held on Monday June 9, 2014 from 8:30am until time of services at 3:00pm, with a rosary led by family friend Fr. Austin Leger at 11:00am.

Pallbearers will be Richard Lafleur, Stanley Darbonne, Don Reviere, Christopher Fontenot, Bryan Fontenot, Kenneth Lyons and Dr.Tim Faul. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Olivier and Mike Burch.
