Thelma Granger

Prairie Ronde Funeral Services will be held for Thelma C. Granger, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2013, in the Prairie Ronde Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend David Fultz will conduct the service.

Mrs. Granger, age 85, a resident of Lawtell, LA and residing at Senior Village Nursing Home, died at Opelousas General Health System on Wednesday, April 24, 2013.

Thelma was a faithful member of the Prairie Ronde Baptist Church and most of all loved her Lord and Savior. She was a loving mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She loved cooking for her family, friends and loved flowers and enjoyed working in her yard. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Gerrie Vasseur and husband, Ronald Vasseur, of Prairie Ronde, LA and Martha Brown and husband, Elton June Brown, of Opelousas, LA. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Truman Lee Granger her parents, Noah and Amy Thibodeaux Cormier her son, Johnny Granger and her daughter, Laura Lynn Lejeune.

Visiting hours will begin on Saturday, April 27, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
