Thelma Bodin

Funeral Services for Mrs. Horace Bodin, the former Thelma Mire, will be held on Friday, July 10th, 2009 at 11AM at St. Landry Catholic Church with the interment in St. Landry Cemetery. The Rev. Austin Leger will conduct the services.

Mrs. Bodin, age 72, a resident of Lafayette formerly of Opelousas, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 12:50AM at Lafayette Care Center. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a generous caregiver in times of need.

Mrs. Bodin is survived by her sons; Dwayne Andrew Bodin and his wife Jennifer of Baton Rouge, Ted Michael Bodin and his wife Amy of Lafayette, grandchildren; Michael and Taylor Bodin of Lafayette, Trace Bodin of Mandeville and Andrew Bodin of Baton Rouge, her brothers; Lenese Mire, Wilbert Mire, Robert Mire and Gerald Mire, her sisters; Connie Cole, Charleen Mallet and Bea Soileau.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Horace Bodin, her daughter; Michelle Ann Bodin, her father; Clarence Mire and mother Eugenie Sonnier Mire and a brother Clarence Mire Jr.

The family has requested that visitation will be Thursday, July 9th, 2009 from 5PM to 9PM and will continue on Friday from 8AM until the time of service. A rosary will be recited on Thursday at 7PM.
