Terradene Thibodeaux

Lawtell A Mass of Christian Burial for Terradene Thibodeaux will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 10, 2011, in the St. Bridget Catholic Church in Lawtell, La. followed by interment in the St. Charles Borromeo Church Cemetery in Grand Couteau, La. Father Austin Leger will conduct the mass.

Mrs. Thibodeaux, age 79, a resident of Lawtell, La., died on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.

Terradene was a member of St. Bridgets Catholic Church in Lawtell, La. and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Also, she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen Jones of Watson, La. Shirley Mahaffey and husband, Tommy, of Mississippi Linda Lalonde and husband, Kenny, of Opelousas, La. Angie McMillan and husband, Mark, of Cankton, La. her brother, Harold Richard of Lawtell, La. her sisters, Madgeline Lyons of Church Point, La. and Clara Young of Carencro, La. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Bryan and Jason Jones, Jenae Thibodeaux, Lance Lalonde, Blake and Hannah McMillan, Daniel Mahaffey and 2 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Thibodeaux her parents, Perry and Delphine Boudreaux Richard her sons, Johnny, Dwaine and Irvin Thibodeaux her daughter, Brenda Thibodeaux and two brothers and one sister.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on 8:00 a.m. on Saturday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
