SYBIL MARIE R. BORDELON

Funeral services for Mrs. Sybil Marie Richard Bordelon, will be held on Friday, March 30th, 2007 at 1:00PM at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. The Interment will be at Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Jeff DeBlanc will conduct the services.

Mrs, Bordelon, 86, died on her birthday, Wednesday, March 28, 2007, at Court Yard Manor in Lafayette.

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She loved her family, was a devoted Mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother and loved caring for other families children.

She is survived by her sons: Michael Bordelon and his wife Diana of Austin Tx, Johnny Bordelon and his wife Brenda of Opelousas and Randy Bordelon and his wife Paula also of Opelousas, her daughters: Mona Mumphrey and her husband Gary of Metairie La. and Rebecca Donohue and her husband Patrick of Abbeville La., her brothers: Emery Blue Richard and his wife Leora and Paul J.B. Doc Richard and his wife Jeunita all of Opelousas, her sisters; Shirley Savoie and her husband Charles of Berwick La., and Ursula Tweedel Doucet and her husband Albert of Lewisburg La. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; Hilliard Bordelon, 2 daughters; Jeannie Bordelon Sikes and Paula Bordelon Bryan, her parents; Bertrand and Bridget Comeaux Richard, brothers; Leroy Richard and Hubert Richard, her sisters; Judy Winn and Levirda Villarrubia.

The family has requested that visitation be observed on Thursday from 5:00PM to 9:00PM and will continue on Friday from 8:00AM until time of service.

A Rosary will be recited at 6;30PM Thursday.
