Stanley Brown, Jr.

Opelousas - A funeral service will be held for Stanley "Kip" Brown, Jr., age 48, at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2016, at The First Baptist Church in Opelousas. Brother Perry Hubbs will conduct the service. Burial will be held at the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Krotz Springs, LA.

Mr. Kip, a resident of Opelousas, LA, died on Monday, October 17, 2016 at his residence.

Mr. Kip was a dedicated member of The First Baptist Church of Opelousas and it's Men's Ministry. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Kip was very proud of his latest accomplishment, getting his GED at age 47. He will be remembered as an excellent marksmen and a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Mr. Kip will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Trudy Lavergne Brown; his daughter, Meagan Disotell and husband, Adam; his granddaughter, Ava Disotell; his mother, Linda Brown; his brother, Charles Gregory Tagliarino and his wife, Toni.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stanley Brown, Sr.; his paternal grandparents, Eula Lee and Walter Brown; and his maternal grandparents, Annie and Joe Circello.

Visitation will be held at the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, October 21, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Adam Disotell, Charlie Smith, Don Lalonde, Duane Pellegrin, Ken Swett and Matt Hogue.
