Stacy Nicole Richard

September 26, 1984 — September 20, 2021

DUE TO COVID CONCERNS, STACY'S SERVICES WILL BE PRIVATE.

Stacy was a beautiful soul. She had such a calming spirit, and she knew exactly when we needed it the most.  Her love for God was apparent just being in her presence.  Her infectious laugh, love for life, and her beautiful smile was what drew everyone to her.  If you ever had the pleasure of meeting her, you would never forget her.

Stacy was so devoted to her family and many, many friends.  She enjoyed the simple life sitting on the patio telling us about her day and playing with her dog Hercules.  Her co-workers looked forward to her Friday donuts or cupcakes.  She would write inspirational notes for her co-workers and leave uplifting scriptures on their desks.  She seemed to know when they needed them the most.  A touching note from co-workers:  "In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still.  In our hearts you hold a place, no one else will."

Life as we know it will never be the same.  You will forever be our precious Doogie.  We could write a book on Stacy, but we would never be able to capture the inner beauty and peace she had.

Thank you Dr. Kennedy and Dr. Ardoin for giving Stacy the opportunity after graduating for working in your dental office.  Although she had challenging days, she never gave up.

A special thanks to the nurses and doctors in ICU at Opelousas General Health System for their devotion to her care.  May God Bless You!

She is survived by her parents, Robert Richard and Mary Prather Richard; her brother, Robert Richard, Jr. and wife, Andrea; her sister, Sherry Richard Fontenot and husband, Mike; her Godparents, Kathy Dicapo and Kirt Thibodeaux; her nephews, Zabdiel Fontenot and Samuel "Sammy" Fontenot and her fur babies, Hercules, Lulu and Josie.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Herbert Prather and Louise Leger Prather and her paternal grandparents, Josephine Lalonde Richard and Avie Richard.

Family and friends are invited to sign and view the online guestbook at www.lafondardoin.com.
