SHIRLEY E. SOILEAU

A Masonic funeral services for Mr, Shirley Soileau will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday, March 20th, 2007 at Lafond Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas A Military service and a Religious service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday at St. Catherines Cemetery in Rosa La. Rev. Michael Guidry will conduct the services.

Mr. Soileau, age 83, died at Tri Community Nursing Home in Palmetto on March 17, 2007.

Shirley was a member of the Pipefitters Local 198 out of Baton Rouge, American Legion Post 305 in Morrow La., also of the Orphan Friends Masonic Lodge in Morrow and past president of the CFMA, Eunice chapter, He was an avid bowler, hunter, fisherman and loved working in his garden. He was veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII.

He is survived his sons; Andy Soileau and his wife Donna of New Iberia La, Jerry Soileau and his wife Brenda of Palmetto, Edward Moe Soileau and his wife Carolyn of Port Barre, Philip Soileau and his wife Lisa of Pearl River and Steven Soileau of Rosa La., his brothers Allen Soileau and his wife Joyce of Belle Chase, Floyd Soileau and his wife Carla of Houston TX., his sisters; Thelma Soileau Peyton of Rosa, Irene Doucet and her husband Jerry of Ville Platte, Pat Gremillion and husband Bubba of Arkansas. Grandchildre; Christie Soileau, Neil Soileau and his wife Brooke, Alexis and Meryl Boudreaux all of New Iberia, Kyla Soileau, Regan and her husband Jessie of Lafayette, Chad Soileau and his wife Nikki of Washington, Kelly and Adrienne Soileau of Lafayette, Kylie Brittany and Hunter Soileau of Port Barre, Corey and Amber Soileau of Pearl River., Great-grandchildren; Wyatt Desselle of New Iberia, Cameron and Baxter Bergeron of Washington.

The family has requested that visitation be observed on Monday, March 19th from 5:00PM to 10:00PM and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00AM until time of service. A Rosary will be recited on Monday at 7:00PM.
