Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home in Melville.  A Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

Mrs. Maddie was a native of Palmetto and Melville before moving to Baton Rouge and eventually Livingston, La.  Shirley loved to cook, being a wife to her companion of 54 years, Salvador Maddie, and a mother to her three children.  She loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren dearly.  Shirley was always a caretaker, someone willing to help others when needed and her beautiful smile and heart will be greatly missed by all of us.

Survivors include two sons, Salvador Maddie, Jr. (Tami Mclin Maddie), Shane Maddie (Becky Bennett Maddie); one daughter, Stephanie Maddie Turner (Milton Kerry Turner); four grandchildren, Emily Maddie Bohall (Ben), Kaitlyn Turner Harrell (Bradley), Evan Maddie and Anthony Maddie and two great-grandchildren, Harper Kate Bohall and Oliver Sean Harrell, one brother, Kenneth Coulon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Violet Hall Coulon and her sister-in-law, Audrey Williams Coulon.

Pallbearers will be Shane Maddie, Anthony Maddie, Kerry Turner, Salvador Maddie, Jr. Evan Maddie and Bradley Harrell.
