Shirley Dupre

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held for Shirley Ann Guillory Dupre, on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Dupre, age 69, a resident of Opelousas, LA died on Friday, August 4, 2017.

Shirley loved dancing and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Scott Dupre and wife, Dayna Matte Dupre of Prairie Ronde, LA; Shane Dupre and wife, Tasha Leger Dupre of Washington, LA; her sister, Mary Jeannette Guillory Wheat of Opelousas, LA. She is survived by her four grandchildren, Hunter James Dupre, Devin Cole Carriere, Brody Schexnayder, Irisa Speyrer and three great-grandchildren, Isabella Carriere, Brayden Carriere and Bennett Carriere.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Dupre; parents, Joseph Fabius Guillory, Sr. and Mary Elta Cormeaux Guillory; and brother, Joseph Fabius Guillory, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Brody Jon Schexayder, Hunter James Dupre, Devin Cole Carriere, Bubba Briscoe, Adam Briscoe and Alex Touchet.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will re-open on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until time of service. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday Evening by Deacon Dwayne Joubert.
