Sheldon Ledoux

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Sheldon Durward LeDoux will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas. The Reverend James Brady will conduct the mass.

Mr. LeDoux, age 68, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at his residence.

Sheldon graduated from AIC in 1960. He worked as a salesman most of his life. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and at one time liked to bowl and play tennis. He loved his family and friends and especially his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Lejeune LeDoux, of Opelousas, La. his motherinlaw, Verna Lejeune, of Port Barre, La. his sons, Patrick LeDoux of Houston, Texas Jason LeDoux and wife, Lorrie, of Opelousas, La. his daughter, Allison LeDoux Deshotels and husband, Steve, of Opelousas, La. and his sister, Vickie LeDoux Andrus of Opelousas, La. He is also survived by his 4 grandchildren, Aaron LeDoux, Katelyn LeDoux, Jules LeDoux and Brayden Deshotels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Yvonne LeDoux his grandparents and a host of other relatives.

Visiting hours will be observed in the LafondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas, beginning on Wednesday, September 14, 2011, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on 9:00 a.m. on Thursday until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
