Sharon Savoie

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial for Ms. Sharon Ann Savoie will be held on Monday, September 15, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Landry Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park. The Very Reverend Monsignor Robert Romero will conduct the services.

Ms. Savoie, age 39, a resident of Opelousas, passed away at Opelousas General Health System, on Friday, September 12, 2008 at 8:52AM, after a lengthy illness.

Her hobbies were crosstitching and she enjoyed crossword puzzles. She loved her family and all her nieces and nephews. All who knew her will miss Sharon.

She is survived by her brothers; Karl James Savoie and his wife Lynn, Mark David Savoie, Leonard Savoie and his wife Karen, and David Guidry,all of Opelousas, his sister; Karen S. Courville and her husband Phil of Opelousas and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Leon Gilven Savoie and Beverly Jane Briley Savoie, her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will be Monday, September 15, 2008 from 9:00am until time of service.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to defray funeral expenses.
