Opelousas Visiting and funeral services for Sarah Baham Perry will be held in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, March 28, 2013 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington, LA. The Reverend Perry Hubbs will conduct the service.

Mrs. Perry, age 93, died on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

She was born in Melville, LA and was a lifelong resident of Opelousas.

Mrs. Perry was a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a woman of faith and the eldest member of the First Baptist Church of Opelousas. Sarah managed Betty Lees shoe store in downtown Opelousas for many years.

She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Perry of Morgan City and Ronald Perry and his wife Darlene of Opelousas daughter, Mary Ann Doucet and her husband Darrell of Opelousas 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, A.J. Toby Perry parents, Matthew and Lula Frith Baham an infant daughter, Penny Perry brothers, Robert, William and Leroy Baham a sister, Ella Mae Perry.

The family would like to recognize and thank the staff of Prompt Succor Nursing Home and Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care for their care and support of Mrs. Perry.
