Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial for Sara Renee' Ledoux Ohrenberger will be celebrated at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. The Very Reverend Monsignor Keith J. DeRouen will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sara Renee' Ledoux Ohrenberger, age 33, of Broussard, La. She passed away early Sunday morning.
Sara was a 2005 graduate of Opelousas Catholic School and a 2010 graduate of UL in nursing. After receiving her degree, Sara worked over 10 years in her nursing career. She worked at Lafayette General in ICU, Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital and Park Place Surgical Hospital. She was a member of the American Nurses Association and the Louisiana State Nurses Association.
Sara had a beautiful smile and a vibrant laugh that lit up the room. She loved socializing with family and friends, spending time on the beach, fishing, boating, dancing and shopping. Sara was a great daughter, sister, aunt, friend and wife. She was a beautiful person and soul. Sara will be missed by all and many patients will miss out on her care. We love you and will miss you.
She is survived by her husband of two and half years, Henry Ohrenberger, III of Broussard, La.; her parents, Frank Ledoux and Jennifer Ledoux of Opelousas, La.; her brother, Andrew Bryan Ledoux and wife, Courtney; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry Ohrenberger and wife, Susan, of Framingham, Massachusetts; her Aunt and Godmother, Carolyn Ledoux Grant and husband, Richard, of Woodworth, La.; her Aunt Dianne Ledoux Leonard and husband, Guy, of Baton Rouge, La.; her Uncle George Ledoux and wife, Stephanie, of Baton Rouge, La., her Uncle Kenneth Ledoux and wife, Olga, of New Orleans, La., her Uncle Scott Thibodeaux of Opelousas, La.; her brother-in-law, Michael Ohrenberger of Raleigh, North Carolina; her sister-in-law, Theresa Laham and husband, George, of Westwood, Massachusetts and her nieces and nephews, Alli Blaire Ledoux, her Godchild, Amelia Brooke Ledoux, Suzy Laham, Charlie Laham and Rose-Mary Claire Laham
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joseph Willie Ledoux, Jr. and Betty Cazes Ledoux; her maternal grandparents, Ophie Louis Thibodeaux and Wanda Vidrine Thibodeaux and her Godfather, John Robert Ledoux.
Pallbearers will be Michael Ohrenberger, Seth Jarrell, Scott Thibodeaux, Boyd Boswell, Kyle Mikal and Cody Junot. Honorary pallbearer will be Andrew Ledoux.
Visitiation will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Skip Montet Chapel at Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary will be prayed Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Friday, April 30, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
