Sam Yander, Iii

Melville A Mass of Christian Burial for Sam Buck Yander, III will be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Johns Catholic Church in Melville. The interment will be in St. Johns Catholic Church Cemetery. Father James Nguyen will be the celebrant of the Mass.

Mr. Yander, age 38, died on Sunday, June 19, 2011. He was a resident of Bayou Current and was also a boilermaker with Turner Industries. Buck was a loving father, husband and son and was an avid hunter and horse lover.

Survivors include his wife, Naomi Gautreaux Yander of Bayou Current, LA his mother, Rebecca Guillory Chenevert and stepfather, Robert Chenevert his stepmother, Annette Yander all of Port Barre, LA his grandmother, Jennie Polotzola Thibodeaux and stepgrandfather, Earl Thibodeaux one son, Danton Edward Beard two daughters, Samantha Yander and Briana Yander two stepbrothers, Jacob Firmin and wife, Neica all of Bayou Current and Donnie Firmin and wife, Crystal of Plaucheville, LA and one sister, Debbie Yander of Melville, LA.

Preceding him in death was his father, Sam Yander, Jr. his paternal grandfather, Sam Yander, Sr. his maternal grandfather, Fedrick Guillory and his maternal grandmother, Ethel Dejean Guillory.

The family has requested that visitation be held in the St. Johns Catholic Church Hall beginning on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the Church Hall.
