Ruth Stagg

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 for Ruth Anne Stagg at St. Landry Catholic Church. Father James Brady will officiate the Mass. Visitation will be held at St. Landry Catholic Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Rosary will be prayed at 11:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ruth Anne Stagg, age 72 and a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2018.

Ruth was a graduate of AIC and attended Northwestern State University receiving a B.S. in Nursing. She was employed by TH Harris Technical Vocational School for 30 years teaching Nursing. Ruth was an associate of The Marianite Order. She enjoyed traveling with her sister and friends. Ruth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by a host of cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Isaac Thomas Stagg and Loretta Bourgeois Stagg; and sister, Kathleen Marie Stagg.
