Opelousas A Memorial Service will be held for Ruth Doty Jordan Kempf, age
97, at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012, at her residence in Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Kempf, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Sunday, September 9, 2012, at her residence.

Ruth was a cosmopolitan soul who loved world travel with her husband of seventy years. Originally from Marthas Vineyard and New York City, she relocated to New Orleans in the 1960s before moving to Opelousas in 2003. She had a unique style and grace, easily finding new friends wherever she went.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Frederick Albert Kempf, of Opelousas, La. her sons, John Frederick Jordan Kempf and wife, Pamela, of Opelousas, La. and Nicholas Christopher Doty Kempf of Opelousas, La.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Leola Doty Jordan.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her former daughterinlaw, Corey Evers Kempf of Opelousas, La.
