Ruth Faul

Opelousas A funeral service for Ruth D. Faul, the former Mae Ruth Devillier, age 83, will be held on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the LaFond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park cemetery. The Reverend Angelo Cremaldi will officiate the service.

Mrs. Faul, a native of Arnaudville and longtime resident of Opelousas, died on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Opelousas General Health System.

Mrs. Faul loved tending to her flowers and enjoyed the beauty of the outdoors, but her true love was her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. Joseph Lynn J.L. Faul of Opelousas; two sons, Lynn Faul of Opelousas and Jason Joseph Faul of Jennings; two brothers, Frank Devillier of Marrero, La and J.A. Devillier of Florida; one sister, Thelma Stelly of Leonville; 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Victoria, Nicholas, Benjamin and Sara Faul; and 3 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph Alec Devillier and Mary Nora Zerangue Deviller; and one son Frank Wayne Faul.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Sunday, December 7, 2008 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will re-open on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until time of services. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
