Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Ruby Jane Lacombe Gautreaux at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in the St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, La. Reverend Jams Brady will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will be held in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Mrs. Gautreaux, age 78, a resident of Opelousas, La., died on Sunday, February 23, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System.

Ruby will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her son, Robert J. Gautreaux, Jr. and wife, Kim, of Opelousas, La. her daughter, Ann Marie Womack and husband, Roy, of Lafayette, La. and her brother, Collins Lacombe of Texas. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Philibert and Pearl Haufpauir Lacombe her daughter, Marylyn Jane Wheeler and her sisters, Selma Devillier and Wanda Walsh.

Visitation will begin at the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
