Funeral services for Ross Lee Jake Kimble will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the First Baptist Church in Melville with Pastor Tom Harper officiating. The interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery in Melville.

Mr. Kimble, age 83 a resident of Melville, died on Saturday July 5, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas. He was a heavy equipment operator with Local 406 and a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Rouse Kimble of Melville, son, Dennis Ross Kimble of Melville, daughter, Cynthia Pauline Kimble of Lafayette, brother, Edward James Kimble of Simmesport, 4 grandchildren, Gina Angona Felder and husband Jason, Amanda Kimble, Van Angona, Jr. and wife Stacie, Jessica Lene Angona and great grandchildren, Jaelyn, Lilyanna, Cecilia, Briar, Nevaeh Faith, Sean Lee, Gabe and Addilyn.

Preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Arthur Kimble and Eva Dix Kimble Johnson, daughter, Geraldine Kimble Angona and infant daughter, Mary Ann Kimble.

The family has requested visitation be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 from 10:00am until time of services at 2:00pm. The visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church in Melville.
