Rose Marie Latiolais

Washington – It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Rose Marie Latiolais, age 71, on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA. 

Rose was a native of Eunice, LA, and a longtime resident of Washington, LA.  She was an inspector for State of Louisiana Motor Vehicle Commission for many years.  Before retiring as a Police Officer for University of Louisiana- Lafayette, she previously served as Captain of Civil Air Patrol, worked as an active Paralegal, Notary, and Special Education Teacher.

Rose enjoyed spending her time with others and loved her family and friends.   She was an avid animal lover and especially cared for her dog, Bailey.  She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. 

Survivors include her sister, Linda L. Guidry (Clarence) of Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexon Latiolais and Dorothy June Romer Latiolais; brothers, Clifford Rae Latiolais and Richard L. Dickhute; and sister, Shirley Smith.
