Rose Latiolais

Washington On May 10, 2009, the family of Rose S. Latiolais lost a wife, a mother, a mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a friend.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Soileau Latiolais, age 72, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.

She was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, a member of the Washington Garden Club, and she was retired from nursing where she spent so many years caring for others. Mrs. Latiolais loved planting and caring for beautiful flowers and plants. She will missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. J.A. Latiolais, Jr. of Washington; two sons, Dwayne Latiolais and wife Kathy, Jason Latiolais and wife Kourtney, all of Washington; five daughters, Diane Fontenot and husband Rickey of Prairie Ronde, Joanne Warner and husband Amos of Crockett, TX, Julie Fanchebois and husband Hal of Washington, Jill Darbonne and husband Paul of Dallas, GA, and Jean Soileau and husband Robbie of Prairie Ronde; two sisters, Lynn Fisher and husband Jack, Kay Saucier and husband Robert all of Washington; 13 grandchildren, Kevin Fontenot, Lacey Manning, Katie Cart, Devin Wyble, Jake Latiolais, Lauren Darbonne, Dustin Wyble, Hannah Latiolais, Seth Franchebois, Morgan Soileau, Jacob Darbonne, Trey Soileau, and Haays Latiolais; 7 great grandchildren, Evan Cade, Grant Alexander, Madison Rosalea, Cole Robert, Owen Lee, Zane Michael and Sloan Katherine.

Mrs. Latiolais was preceded in death by her parents, Adna and Vivian Valin Soileau and a sister, Doloris Ann Soileau.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, May 11, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. until service time on Tuesday. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
