A Mass of Christian Burial for Rose Foster Daigle, age 74, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2011 in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Chapel in Lewisburg. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Reverend Monsignor Jeff DeBlanc will celebrate the Mass.
Rose Daigle, who was a native of Church Point and resident of Opelousas, died on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 2:30 a.m. in the J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home.
She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who was deeply devoted to her church parish. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, John A. Daigle of Opelousas son, Keith J. Daigle, Sr. of Opelousas daughters, Stephanie A. Daigle of Marksville, Karen Savoie and husband Leonard of Opelousas and Kristi D. Hammond and husband Kevin of Lewisburg a sister, Evelyn Miller and husband Paul of Lafayette seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Preston and Louise David Foster and a sister Elaine Foster.
Visiting will be observed in the LaFondArdoin Funeral Home of Opelousas beginning Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until service time. A rosary will be prayed on Sunday at 7:00 p.m.
