Melville - Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, for Rose Stella Gerace Clark in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home Chapel in Melville. Father Michael Oswalt will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Clark Family Cemetery in Melville. (17343 Hwy. 105, Melville, LA 71353)

Mrs. Clark, age 86, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Rose was a lifelong resident of Bayou Current, La. Her life was devoted to her family. She loved watching her family doing farm work in her backyard. She was a devout Catholic and prayed the rosary every day. She enjoyed drinking coffee and visiting with family and friends and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Rose will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Anthony Clark of Melville, LA; her sons, Gregory Clark of Melville, LA; Brett Clark and wife, Annie of Melville, LA; Bill Clark and wife, Gracie of Hessmer, LA; her daughters, Crystal Stelly and husband, Jessie of Grosse Tete, LA and Melissa Herpin and husband, Craig of Rosedale, LA. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Tiffany, Brett Michael and wife, Felicia, Micah, Lindsey and husband, Andy, Amber, Brittany and husband, Austin, Chase and wife, Amie, Meagan, Sarah, Emma, Elizabeth, Kelsey and husband, Taylor and Chase and 8 great-grandchildren, Clayton, Gavin, Garrett, Gracie, Greta, Gage, Jacob Lane and Stella Rose.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Lena Campisi Gerace; her brothers, Louis and Frank Gerace; her sister, Saraphine G. Bertholl and her grandson, Jacob Clark.

Visitation will be held in the Lafond-Ardoin Funeral Home of Melville on Tuesday, January 8, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Brett Michael Clark, Micah Clark, Chase Clark and her godchildren, Jerry Bertholl, Blake Gerace and Mike Gerace.
